DESCRIPTION
The Vulcain light speaks of man’s fascination with fire. Its body in carbonized solid beech evokes the look of trees burnt in a lava flow, using an ancient Japanese technique which renders the wood waterproof. When subjected to heat, the wood cracks, blackens, smokes, transforms. Destructive fire creates renewal, fashioning a savage kind of beauty.
Table lamp with base in ash, blowtorched on the exterior and left natural in the interior of the ‘crater’. Black textile cable. Black manual switch/dimmer. 4W E27 LED amber-coloured filament globe bulb Ø 95 mm, colour temperature 2,200 K (warm white), 320 lumens.
