OMURO
Mauro Lipparini

DESCRIPTION
These tables have an almost mystic placidity about them and the hidden, unexpected strength of an Oriental volcano, the Mont Omuro for which they are named and from which they derive their raison d’être. Reverberations, luminescence, flashes, transparencies, opacities. So many nuances which enliven the simple, geometric lines of the Omuro table. The two low tables may be used together, or separately. The upper glass top, in 8 mm thick toughened glass, is ridged with fine strips on the underside. The polished stainless steel top, or ‘lemonade tray’, is available in either its natural, gloss finish or in lacquer (choice of brique or noir) with a slanted edge. It can be lifted from its circular resting place to serve guests and returned there afterwards. The veneered lower surface is in black-stained oak on an MDF base. The metal structure is always black, with round aluminium glass support tips glued beneath the glass and held in the round legs with transversal screws.
